The KOLON Industries FnC Organization (KOLON FnC) announced that its outdoor brand KOLON SPORT has introduced its FW25 premium down series, ANTARCTICA.

- Heavy down originally developed for Antarctic expedition gear now offered in three lines: Standard, Long, and Premium

- Enhanced warmth performance through WINDSTOPPER® 2L, box-wall construction, and thermal mannequin testing

- FW25 ANTARCTICA campaign “Love, the Warmest Language” unveiled, featuring four winter love stories

ANTARCTICA is KOLON SPORT’s signature down jacket line, engineered to protect body heat in extreme winter conditions. The series originated in 2011 through KOLON SPORT’s provision of outerwear for a Korean Antarctic meteorite expedition and was officially launched in the Fall/Winter 2012 season. Proven through field testing in Antarctica, ANTARCTICA has earned lasting trust from consumers and has since become one of KOLON SPORT’s most iconic product lines.

For FW25, ANTARCTICA is released in three variations: a mid-length Standard Down, a Long Down designed for maximum insulation, and a Premium Down line featuring two high-end materials. The Premium line incorporates Woolmark-certified 100 percent pure wool as well as Loro Piana wool, widely recognized as a premium textile. In addition, ANTARCTICA Origin Down, a reissue of the original 2012 design, is also introduced this season.

The FW25 ANTARCTICA series features comprehensive upgrades in materials and performance. The outer shell uses WINDSTOPPER® 2-layer fabric, co-developed by KOLON SPORT and GORE-TEX, to block external wind while efficiently releasing internal moisture. A baffle construction is applied to prevent down migration, while box-wall construction is used at the lower back panel, where cold air penetration is most likely, to maintain a consistent air layer and enhance thermal insulation. In addition, a thermal mannequin, a full-scale human simulation model used to measure garment insulation, was employed to analyze heat distribution across the body, enabling precise placement of insulation according to the required warmth level of each zone. Heat-reflective down was placed in areas with the greatest heat loss, such as the front body and center back, to retain warmth by reflecting body heat inward. In the underarm areas, which experience frequent movement and are prone to moisture buildup, European Lavalan® wool insulation was applied to enhance breathability and moisture regulation. Inside, a graphene honeycomb lining disperses and retains heat, maximizing overall thermal efficiency.

Design updates were also introduced for FW25. The waist belt was redesigned from an external feature to a concealed structure for a cleaner silhouette, and a stand-neck option without a hood was added to allow for greater styling versatility.

In conjunction with the FW25 ANTARCTICA launch, KOLON SPORT unveiled its new campaign film, “Love, the Warmest Language.” The campaign portrays four winter love stories centered on a young couple, a middle-aged couple, a father and son, and sisters, expressing ANTARCTICA’s warmth through emotional narratives tailored to each relationship. The campaign videos are available through the KOLON SPORT official online store, KOLON Mall, and KOLON SPORT stores nationwide.

A KOLON SPORT official said, “The FW25 ANTARCTICA series expands consumer choice through diverse lengths and designs while significantly enhancing overall performance to ensure reliable comfort even in midwinter conditions. This season, we are also presenting a campaign that captures different expressions of winter love. We hope ANTARCTICA helps our customers experience a truly warm winter.”
