KOLON FnC expands ‘amoupre,’ menswear for the average body type

2021-10-18

  • Offering realistic length pants in collaboration with comedian Jo Se-ho...5th reorder in progress
  • Significant increase in the number of styles for the FW season…Plans to broaden customer contact points such as opening a pop-up store

"amoupre," a menswear brand of the KOLON Industries FnC Organization (KOLON FnC) is stepping up its expansion efforts.

In March 2021, KOLON FnC launched amoupre in collaboration with comedian Jo Se-ho to offer clothes for the physique of the average Korean man. The brand's first product—a set of three "Realistic Length Denim Pants," which do not require additional tailoring as the name suggests—has been reordered five times, leaving a deep impression on customers. The brand later added +5cm length denim and slacks to meet customer needs. This was the result of active collaboration between KOLON FnC and Jo Se-ho, a comedian who has shown his passion for fashion.

With the launch of the FW season, amoupre plans to expand the variety of items and open an offline pop-up store in an effort to increase customer contact points.

In the FW 2021 season, amoupre will introduce 33 items, focused on outerwear and tops such as denim jackets, knitwear, cardigans, and coats, in addition to pants. These are items that match well with the brand's pants, all of which consider the size of the average man such as shoulder width and sleeve length. New products for the FW season will be "dropped" sequentially.

In addition, a pop-up store is scheduled to open on the second basement floor of The Hyundai Seoul on October 8. This pop-up store, which will open for two weeks, will not only provide customers with the first opportunity to meet amoupre's new products but also participate in an event with Jo Se-ho.

An amoupre official said, “amoupre is a brand launched with the know-how of KOLON FnC and active collaboration with Jo Se-ho. We will continue to research and strive to offer clothes that fit ‘most of us.’”

<amoupre (amour proper)>

The name "amoupre" comes from the French expression "amour propre," which means pride, and implies the meaning of "believing in one's own abilities and self-worth and pursuing one's own style."
