The performance of leggings effective in preventing knee injuries has been successfully verified with Professor Park Hyung-soon's team

KOLON SPORT, an outdoor brand of the KOLON Industries FnC Organization (KOLON FnC), has succeeded in developing functional leggings for outdoor activities in collaboration with KAIST professor Park Hyung-soon’s team and verifying their functionality.

KOLON SPORT has been leading the outdoor leggings market that can be safely worn by introducing three types of leggings for different intensities of exercise since the 20SS season. Professor Park Hyung-soon is heading a team researching robotics for rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation therapy.

KOLON SPORT and KAIST professor Park Hyung-soon's team have produced leggings that are effective in preventing injuries during outdoor activities such as mountain-climbing and verified their performance.

Professor Park's team proposed the idea of adding taping details to the back and edges of the calve and thigh to reduce the pressure on the knee when climbing a mountain and verified the effect through experiments. The taping details not only support the muscles but also help reduce muscle fatigue, boost blood flow, and increase the injury prevention rate. These research results are to be published in a foreign journal. KOLON SPORT created leggings according to the proposal of the KAIST team, and the taping details were made with a seamless welding technique to improve the fit.
