Global luxury golf brand G/FORE to be officially launched in Korea

The KOLON Industries FnC Organization (KOLON FnC) is officially launching the global luxury golf brand G/FORE. The brand will target the premium golf wear market, starting with the opening at the Hyundai Department Store in Seoul on February 5.


In January 2020, KOLON FnC officially imported G/FORE into Korea and introduced the brand’s main products such as golf shoes and gloves online and at a pop-up store as a pre-launch, making it one of the most anticipated brands slated to be launched this year.


The most notable part of the official launch in Korea is the apparel.

The apparel collection this season consists of a classic line that is a modern interpretation of the Gallivanter series, G/FORE's signature golf shoes, and a line that emphasizes the understated color and functionality of the MG4+ series, golf shoes optimized for performance. At the showcase unveiled before the official launch, many distributors picked apparel as the most anticipated item.


G/FORE plans to propose sophisticated yet classic styling to young golfers preparing for a spring field look with the brand's unique color, silhouette, and logo play that conveys a witty message. This includes a classic-inspired tailored polo, a crew neck sweater (pictured), and a 3-layered rain breaker.


Korea exclusive items will also be released through the official launch. After signing the brand's first license agreement in the world, KOLON FnC ordered custom products that reflect the characteristics of Korean golfers among the brand's popular global products. The golf shoes Kiltie Disruptor and Gallivanter, which are loved by Koreans, will be offered in the Korea Exclusive Color to meet the needs of Koreans. Golf shoes, two-handed gloves, and hats are such products.


Starting with the Hyundai Department Store COEX Branch, G/FORE will open shops at major department stores, such as The Hyundai Seoul and the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch in February, gradually increasing contact points with customers. After opening shops at department stores in major commercial districts in the first half, the brand plans to open its flagship store in the second half. G/FORE products will also be available at THE CART GOLF (www.thecartgolf.com), an online select shop for golf products.


Furthermore, top experts are working on the store interior design. In collaboration with space strategy designer Jong Kim, G/FORE's unique brand identity will be expressed throughout the store. In line with the vibrant colors and witty concept of the brand, classic golf wear and supplies will be interpreted in a "hip" way.

In celebration of the brand launch, G/FORE provides a ball marker tee set for purchases of 300,000 won or more and a tote bag for purchases of 2 million won or more (until supplies last) at the Hyundai Department Store COEX Branch.

G/FORE is a brand launched in 2011 by LA-based fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, with the DNA of golf and the rebellious spirit. Beginning with a collection of premium golf gloves in vibrant colors, G/FORE has established itself as a distinctive brand by maintaining a high growth rate in the U.S. market with its bold and unique branding.

The key target is the young luxury golfer group. With differentiated brand sensibility and products, G/FORE will satisfy the needs of those seeking young luxury golf wear, which had been rare in the traditional golf wear market.
